Atlas Copco introduces G 7-11 new oil-injected screw compressors

Shanghai, China, August 2015: As one of the first trial users to run Atlas Copco G7 oil-injected screw compressor, Kanghengda Stainless Steel speaks highly of its experience on the new unit.

As the most important part of stainless steel processing, the quality of cutting is crucial for productivity. The current laser cutting machine is driven by compressed air which means the efficiency and stability of compressed air has a vital influence on the quality of end products.

“Our previous domestic air compressor has faced some problems, such as it will shut down when the ambient temperature is high, or alarm for over-load if the machine has been operated for a long time. The lens of laser have to be replaced once it get stained by a large amount of oil from the air flow and the cost is very expensive. Therefore, we seized the opportunity to work with Atlas Copco once we learned that its latest G7 oil-injected screw compressor has been launched, which perfectly fits the needs of laser cutting.” he continues.

Incorporating the latest optimized elements and new unloading valve suitable for low load condition, the highest efficient and reliable G 7-11 oil injected screw compressors ensures consistent operation in any harsh environment. Thanks to the design of patented cooler, the flow back of condensation has been eliminated to avoid the corrosion of metal parts and extend lifetime of oil separator and oil filter. Compared with the last generation GXe 7-11, the new G 7-11 brings outstanding performance with approximate 4% increase of the FAD and up to 10% of energy saving, and the its footprint is only 2/3 of the last generation.

Mr. Chen Guangchi expressed his satisfaction at the 6-month operation of G7 compressor, “Thanks to the stable operation of G7 compressor, we feel relieved with no more worry about unplanned shut down, and too much oil in the air flow which forced us to install 6-7 filters on the pipe. In addition, the new machine is quiet and compact, which obviously has improved our working environment and saved power cost.”
