Annual meeting of Atlas Copco's authorized area distributors successfully held
Format Area The annual meeting of Atlas Copco Mining and Rock Excavation Technique authorized area distributors was held in Chengdu on January 10, where over 50 representatives of the authorized area distributors were present.
Mr. Freddy Man, General Manager of the Customer Center of Atlas Copco Mining and Rock Excavation Technique, Greater China, spoke highly of the performance of area sales in 2013 and provided development direction amid the current market downturn. "While the mining industry is troubled with challenges, recovery of the construction business spells new opportunities for us. In the future, we will continue the area distribution model to explore new applications for current products and further, market coverage and segmentation projects. Together we will explore new business development models,” Freddy Man, the General Manager said.
The Atlas Copco group continued its healthy profitability in 2013, when it accelerated its pace for global merger and acquisition while maintaining an organic growth. In China, a joint venture between Atlas Copco and the Shandong Sanshan Group, Shandong Rock Drilling Co. Ltd. was established, which strengthens Atlas Copco’s position in the local market in mining and construction consumables.
In terms of product development, Atlas Copco launched several customized product series for Chinese customers. New products such as the Boomer K111 and K41 drill rigs, Simba K102 drill rig, DM30II blasthole drill rig, PowerROC D45 surface drilling rig, DHD 5 Gold HF hammer, Boyles C5 surface core drilling rig etc, will be fully launched in the market, providing the customers with a richer product choice.
Guizhou Komatsu Engineering Machinery Co. Ltd. and Shanxi Branch of Beijing Zhongtie Tianrui Engineering Machinery Co. Ltd. won the sales champion award and the sales growth award for 2013 respectively. Going forward, Atlas Copco will continue its support to its authorized area distributors in market exploration and technical training to enhance the latter’s capabilities in product, service, and sales technique.
