10 years of Achievements for Atlas Copco in China

On August 2nd, 2007, the National Dealer Conference of Atlas Copco was held at the Sofitel Xanadu Resort Hotel in Hangzhou, Zhejiang Province. The meeting was attended by over 240 people from more than 80 dealers of Atlas Copco across China. The conference was sponsored by the Industrial Air department of Compressor Technique of Atlas Copco (Shanghai) Trading Co., Ltd and attended by senior management from the company including the General Manager Peter Lauwers, Consultant to the the General Manger Mr. Jiang Junde, the Deputy General Managers Zhang Liankang, Ye Chun, Zhou Qin and Zhao Xiaoxiong, the Logistics Director Li Tong, the HR Manager Yao Ying and the General Manager of Wuxi Pneumatech Industrial Gas Purification Equipment Co., Ltd. Hong Jie.

The conference created a platform for face-to-face communication and exchange between Atlas Copco and its dealers.

Mr. Peter Lauwers, the General Manager, made a speech, in which he provided details about strategic plans for future development of Atlas Copco emphasizing that the key to realizing these opportunities lies in high-quality and innovative products, increasing after-sales service for all products to make it profitable. The key to the success of Atlas Copco can be attributed to our staff, our market share, the strong growth of our follow-up service market and product training for relevant staff.

The Deputy General Manager Zhang Liankang reviewed the ups and downs experienced during the past 10 years since the factory was first constructed in Wuxi to the establishment of the Industrial Air department. Today, the sales team and the dealer team have expanded by 20 times and 130 times respectively. In light of the achievements during the past 10 years, the Deputy General Manager Zhang Liankang highlighted expectations and plans for the future pointing out that the focus for future market development will be on high value-added products and professional products. In addition a project for 5-year quality guarantees will be developed and a loan service with favorable financing will be offered. The Deputy General Manager Zhao Xiaoxiong then provided more details about how these developments would be realized, shared some key principles for after-sales service and also discussed some of the current key issues among dealers.

At the conference, the "Dealer of the Year" and "Top Dealer for After-Sales Service" for the year 2006-2007 were announced and prizes were given to the winners.

The conference strengthened communication between the dealers and Atlas Copco and set the stage for future cooperation.
