Through a series of activities during the day, the aim of Safety Day is to improve employee's overall awareness of safety in their work and life.

Atlas Copco China - Group Safety Day 3
April 28 is the Global Safety Day, which was initiated by the International Labor Organization (ILO) since 2003. Its aim is to promote safety, health and decent work and life. This year, Atlas Copco launched a Group Safety Day campaign worldwide on April 28, to improve employee's safety awareness in their work and life.

On April 28, more than 20 companies of Atlas Copco in China launched the campaign by hosting different safety activities such as meeting, training, presentation, competition, simulation, group discussions, etc., to enhance our colleagues’ safety behavior in office, workshop and on the road.

Every year some two million men and women lose their lives in accidents or illness related to work safety around the world. Seeing this, Atlas Copco decided to bring safety to a whole new level. The employees are required to always think safety first when they do anything, at any time.

At the end of the day, everyone signed on a huge safety board for their commitments to safety and health.  At the same time, Atlas Copco China also used its social media channels like Sina Weibo and WeChat to share the activities and ideas how to improve road and workplace safety among our followers.

“In Atlas Copco, we have a long history of Safety First culture! By rolling out these activities in a theme of safety in China, I truly hope that our colleagues can live safely at work, on the road or at home.” said Liselotte Duthu, Vice President, Atlas Copco (China) Investment Co., Ltd.. “We will continue our efforts in promoting the safety culture in China through education, implementation and evaluation, to create a safer tomorrow for our employees and their families!”
