Manager of the Year Award for Freddy Man

Beijing, China, September 21, 2015: Freddy Man, General Manager of Atlas Copco Mining and Rock Excavation Technique Customer Center in Greater China, was given the Manager of the Year Award by China Construction Machinery Magazine

Atlas Copco China - Manager of the Year Award
Freddy Man, born in Hong Kong, started his career in Atlas Copco in 1981 and held several positions within Construction and Mining Technique Business Area, including Marketing Manager for Hong Kong and Southeast Asia, and General Manager of Hong Kong and Taiwan. In 2004, Freddy worked as the General Manager of Atlas Copco Construction and Mining Technique Customer Center in Greater China and was in charge of the business in Mainland China, Hong Kong and Taiwan. Since the business restructuring of Atlas Copco in 2011, Freddy has been serving as General Manager of Atlas Copco Mining and Rock Excavation Technique Customer Center in Greater China.
Over the span of nearly 35 years in Atlas Copco, Freddy has always been committed to the business development in China and led the team to achieve significant increase in sales for consecutive years. Despite the downturn in the mining market in 2015, Freddy has taken active measures to grasp new development opportunities by proposing a breakthrough strategic vision of "expanding the range of potential customers, developing the distributor network, and improving market share", combining a localized mindset with an international perspective.
By introducing advanced products into China market, Freddy further expand the product partfolio. Concurrently, he proactively promotes the concepts of "Made in China" and even "Made by China", and contributes to the local product series in China. The transfer from the production of a single product to diversified products by China, as well as the extension from high-end market to mid-end market, provide Chinese users with more cost-effective products that are suitable for local applications. These measures accelerated the level of China's mining and construction equipment, promoted the development of mechanization in the industry, and stayed true to the commitments of Atlas Copco - "Committed to sustainable productivity" through the application of safe and environmentally friendly products.
Freddy has actively promoted the group's advanced management concept and talent development program in Greater China to help local enterprises achieve robust development, and advocated and supported the educational sponsorship programs promoted by Atlas Copco in Mainland.  China Construction Machinery Magazine commented: "Freddy Man is a senior enterprise leader that best understands the customers of China mining equipment, and he is most deserving of the Manager of the Year Award."
