New Atlas Copco compressors, generators and pumps at the Bauma VIP Customer Event 2010
Atlas Copco will show several new products at the “Bauma customer VIP event” starting November 23rd through 26th. The new units include the QAS flx 125 which extends the QAS flx generator range and the new XAXS 600 compressor . The new XAS 27 compressor and the portable air submersible pumps will be unveiled for the first time. And, the XAS 87 lightweight rental unit will be launched to the Asian market.
The standard specifications of the QAS flx variant are less advanced than those of the actual QAS range. This new variant of QAS generators is now available up to 135 kVA at 60 Hz.
Due to increases in demand for our single axle compressors with engine pressures from 8.6 to 14 bar, this range has now been extended with a 17 bar version, the XAXS 600. This is the first Atlas Copco Portable Compressor where 17 bar is achieved with a single compressor element. The result is a very compact and efficient compressor that is a perfect match for small crawler drill rigs.
The new XAS 27 (27 l/s, 7 bar) compressor has been designed to offer exceptional versatility by having the most compact dimensions in our portable compressor range. Whether being used for running pneumatic breakers, chippers, hammers, or small hand tools, this compressor can handle projects such as demolition, finishing and renovation. The compressor is simple to operate and to maintain. Powering the XAS 27 is a Honda GX630 petrol engine driving our new C55 element. It also includes our smallest air/oil separator vessel ever offered, taking advantage of the maintenance friendly spin-on filter design.
For the rental and construction sectors, the new XAS 87, lightweight compressor from Atlas Copco has a robust and sturdy design and is simple to operate. It offers ease of transportation from site to site, weighing less than 750kg, fully loaded with available options. The XAS 87 Kd is powered by a 4-cylinder, water-cooled Kubota V1505 turbo charged diesel engine rated at 33 kW. It provides a free air delivery of 5m³/min (83 l/s) at 7 bar providing a 3 tool capacity, to drive for example, three tools such as breakers, hammers, and small pneumatic hand tools.
"To compliment the product offering for the construction, rental and mining industries, the WEDA submersible pump line will be available both in 50 and 60 Hz versions from 275 1/min to 20200 1/min,” says Geert Follens, President of the Atlas Copco Portable Air Division. “We see high potential for continued growth and expansion in this area,” Follens added.
“We see a trend towards environmental awareness in China. In the Chinese construction business the move to higher efficiency, low noise, fuel efficient screw technology compressors is expected to move rapidly.” Follens continued. Several of Atlas Copco’s small compressors that support these applications will be shown at “Bauma China 2010” and at the “Bauma VIP customer event 2010”. To support this market trend, a fully dedicated Power and Construction Sales Department in Atlas Copco Shanghai Trading will be started beginning 2011.
Finally, in stand E4 106 at “Bauma China 2010” (November 23-26) in the Shanghai New International Expo Center, Atlas Copco will display new equipment including the XAXS 600 CD7 17 bar, QAS FLX 125KVA, XAS87 and XRVS 976, under the theme of “Experience our Energy,” together with additional products of the Atlas Copco Group.
