Atlas Copco Web Page Survey Report 2009

2009-09-22

In order to check for areas of improvement, make company website much more convenient for the access by visitors and comply with the habit of Chinese users, Atlas Copco Aftermarket (CTS) conducted a Web Page Survey in the middle of 2009.

The survey involved CTS sales managers, CTS sales supervisors and CTS sales engineers. They were asked to spend some time to study about our website, and stand in the position of an Atlas Copco customer when answering the survey.

The survey included 3 parts. Part 1 asked participants to evaluate the importance and content quality of company web-pages from customer’s perspective. Part 2 asked participants to evaluate the content accuracy and time validity of web-pages, including whether the information is clear, accurate, up-to-date and useful. Part 3 asked participants to offer some rationalization proposals and suggestions for company website, according to their understanding of the demand of customers. During the one-month survey, we received totally 75 feedbacks all over the country. The result is as follows:

Comparing all items, the importance of the “Contact Us” column got the highest score, while the time validity of webpage information got the lowest, leaving room for further improvement. Through the survey, we collected a lot of valuable ideas and suggestions. For example, it usually takes an excessive long time to open a web-page; font size is not big enough; there are too many options before entering the Chinese website; solutions are not specially tailored for Chinese customers, with weak applicability; news are updated lately; application story of customer is not enough; some contact information is no correct…Meanwhile we also received some rationalization and constructive proposals. We are recommended to add a position map of customer center to “Contact Us” column, introduce how to distinguish fake spare parts, create a forum for convenient communication with our customers, and etc.

We will summarize and further discuss on this web page survey. A more user-friendly and convenient Atlas Copco website with comprehensive and timely information is expected in the near future.
