New QAS range of heavy duty generating sets from Atlas Copco
New re-designed QAS generating sets will be available for the entire range from QAS 14-325 comprising 12 models.
Comprising twelve models, including four newly introduced QAS 14-40 Kubota- powered sets, the range also includes ratings between 60 kVA – 325 kVA.
The QAS 60, 80 and 100 are powered by Perkins diesel engines whilst the QAS 125, 150, 200, 250 and 325 are powered by Volvo engines.
Nevertheless it has been designed to deliver the same accurate and 100% stable prime power in temperatures of 40ºC - with some models operating at 45ºC - and an altitude of 1000 m.
All models are also compliant with the latest European emission standards.
A spillage-free frame is fitted on all models protecting the environment from inadvertent spills.
Service efficiency – increase 'uptime'
For the new design particular attention has been given to simplify installation and operation, service and safety.
Large doors and service plates ensure ease of accessibility to all service areas. Critical service points are all located on one side of the generator (single-sided service point).
The new range also features an extended 500 hour service interval.
A large fuel tank, suitable for a minimum of 8 hours operation at full load is centrally positioned so that regardless of the fuel level, the set remains balanced.
Increased transport efficiency
Featuring a superior standard configuration the new models include integrated forklift slots and a lifting eye for ease of transportation and mobility on-site.
A dual-stage heavy duty air filter and fuel filter with water separation are also fitted as standard.
A wide range of options are also available to suit each requirement including, for example, paralleling instrumentation for sets above 80 kVA, an integrated 24 hour fuel tank, a trailer with on-highway signalisation and, for refinery operations, a spark arrestor and air shut-off valve.
These range from maintenance kits for pre-determined service intervals to full coverage service agreements.
