Atlas Copco wins the order for surface coal mine in Wuhai to help to achieve environmental protection goals

Atlas Copco, the leading provider of sustainable productivity solutions, has won an order from Inner Mongolia Guangna Group for 50 PowerROC T40 top hammer drilling rigs to reach its environmental protection goals, and make the operations a leap forward in efficiency.

Inner Mongolia Guangna Group, a long-term customer of Atlas Copco, founded in 2010. Its main business is coal mining and processing. Holding 15 surface coal mines with the reserves 210 million tons of resources; and its designed production capacity is 7.8 million tons coking coal per year.

The 50 PowerROC T40 drill rigs will be put into 15 mines located Wuhai and the Etuokeqi areas of Guangna Group, creating the largest sets of order record in terms of integrated hydraulic drill rigs in China. “With the development of the Group, environmental protection and safety is the goal we have been pursuing, and the drilling rigs of Atlas Copco featuring environmental protection and energy saving, safe and efficient are in line with our strategy,” said Wang Cairong, founder of Inner Mongolia Guangna Group.

PowerROC T40 is a kind of top hammer surface drill rig formally launched to the Chinese market by Atlas Copco in July 2017. Tailor-made for Chinese customers, the drill rig caters to the design concept of environmental protection, safety and efficiency that Atlas Copco has always adhered to, which are simple and easy to operate; equipped with high efficient dust collector which greatly reduce the dust particles in the operation process; the cab has been certified by FOPS and ROPS with the noise lower than 85dB, so as to provide a safe and comfortable working experience for the operator; equipped with Atlas Copco new RD 22S rock drill makes the drilling performance more stable and efficient; the outstanding performance of PowerROC T40 makes it an ideal choice for the drilling operation of surface mines, quarries and construction sites, etc.
