
The Role
Duties and responsibilities include, but are not limited to:
- Organize and schedule production requirements throughout the site, ensuring all customer orders are completed efficiently, on time and in way that optimizes the overall production performance.
- Actively engage and work with other departments to ensure a collaborative approach throughout the planning process.
- Proactively work with the Planning Manager to support with the delivery of the strategic vision and direction of the department.
- Work with the wider team to maximize learning and engagement.
- Proactively identify areas for improvement to continually drive performance and business results.
- Responsible for all planning of rivet production to support customer requirements
- Plan and monitor the capacity, planning and production of the rivet manufacturing areas
- Provide monthly targets for the rivet manufacturing processes, identifying and resolving any capacity issues with the aid of operations.
- Produce production schedules for the rivet manufacturing processes taking into account the processing rules whilst minimizing machine changeovers without impacting customer deliveries
- Take part in the daily production meeting, reporting KPI’s and raising any problems or concerns
- Ensure the weekly MRP plans are maintained, new orders are released in a timely manner and MRP messages are actioned accordingly
- Responsible for generating documentation for rivet sub contract processes.
- Ensure rivet sub contract supply is in line with customer requirements and the supplier delivery performance is reviewed on a monthly basis.
- Report/analyse on time delivery, identifying the root cause for shortages and liaising with relevant departments to prevent re-occurrence
- Ensure all Work Instructions for planning are up to date and support the training/mentoring of staff as required
- Review MRP parameters, sales forecasts and system requirements to ensure the rivet planning process is optimized
- Provide support to produce the monthly S&OP plans to show the medium to long term production requirements for the key rivet production processes and highlight any capacity/manning gaps
- Support the equipment planning when required, providing cover for holidays/sickness
- Liaise with other departments to support rivet manufacturing throughout the business
- Identify opportunities to develop and improve the role in line with the values of continuous improvement. Working with various stakeholders implementing any changes in an efficient and cost effective manor
- Provide support to any key projects involving rivets that require production planning and/or customer planning requirements
- Carry out any other reasonable duties as requested by the Company

What we expect of you?
Education / Qualifications
- A minimum of 2-3 years experience of working in a similar planning/supply chain role
- Experience of working in the automotive sector is desirable but not essential
- Proven ability to work in a fast paced evolving environment
- Experience of using ERP and MRP systems
- Competency with using Microsoft Excel to quickly analyse data
- High level of computer literacy and an ability and willingness to learn new software
- High level of communications skills and a self-motivated individual with the constant ambition to ensure the team succeed.
- Excellent communication skills in the English language speaking and writing
