Logistic Design Engineer

Main responsibilities:

In general, this function means that you are responsible for designing the logistic flow on entire product lifecycle from parts to finished goods by establishing optimal tooling, procedures, systems, and support the Logistic Engineer in planning team to training, implement them. You are part of the logistic team in Process and report to Logistic Team Leader in future.

 Specifically, your tasks and responsibilities include, but not limited to:

• Develop methods, procedure, and practices for better warehouse management under limited warehouse capacity.
• Investigate on storage location optimization and bring out solutions.
• Prepare and provide warehouse related information/report for management review at section level, e.g. KPI
• Support CIP projects related to logistic productivity.
• Support projects and matters of method team and other department related to logistic design.
• Develop and optimize transportation management procedure, including supplier parts delivery, internal milk run, completed machines delivery to reach most efficient way (related to efficiency, delivery time, accuracy, reliability).
• Implementation and further support of new logistics processes, this through training, making descriptions and managing procedures.
• Support method engineers to optimize internal logistics for new product projects CtP basis, by developing standard procedure.
• Support automation team on logistic automation investigation.
• Operational support to the flow teams in planning dept to keep up to date and improve operational logistics flows.
• WMS management and optimization.
• Other tasks assigned by his team leader.

Main requirements:

• 3+ years logistic design experience in a large manufacturing or logistics company.
• With project management experience in logistics flow optimization and process improvement on entire product lifecycle from parts to finished goods.
• Have capability to obtain and implement logistics technical solutions independently, by comprehensive analysis to problem solving.
• Have experience and practice on multi-factory / warehouse logistics management.
• Proficient in the operation of receiving/sending/storing/shipping in domestic and oversea transportation, familiar with the whole process of logistics business in the factory.
• Familiar with WMS, ERP system etc.
• With good teamwork ability and interpersonal communications skills, can work under certain pressure.
• Background with assembly method is preferred.
• Fluent in both oral and written English, MS office and other working software.
